Before any of you start to think that I have, indeed, lost what was left of my Mad Woman in the Attic mind,
(especially my poor Sisters over at Facebook Sisterhood of the Goat, who have had to endure my creations with little or no explanation...!) let me just say:

Hmm.  I suppose that didn't quite clear things up, did it?  ;)

Ok....I'll try.......

A few days ago, a REAL TOADS writing challenge, which didn't exactly interest me due to the *modern* nature of the challenge, ended up striking me in this amazing and incredible way.
I wouldn't have thought that I would take the time to produce something so brightly colored and out of my sepia vintage box let alone write about it.  I'm an antique kinda girl and worship the tattered lace
and musty smells of The Old Ones.  And I like it that way.

But I'm on vacation so I thought I'd give it a go.
What I found was this:
Stepping out of your well worn and well loved  creative space and diving head long
into a project you have zero understanding of will bestow upon you this amazing
SHOCK of creativity you didn't know you had!

No worries........!

And since that initial challenge
I am SHOCKINGLY renewed!

So, with a bow to the Dubstep Goat
and eternal gratitude to REAL TOADS (really, really...I can't be thankful enough!)
I dub 2013 the year to

Create something new...create something old....repurpose...wonder......try something odd....
TRUST yourself.....
revive your creative soul....
and dive headfirst into the SHOCKING and deep swirl of creative waters!

(and then please, please share with me!)

Go forth and create!

Much love for a Happy and SHOCKING New Year!

Happy Dubsteppin' New Year!

Yeah, just so you know......
ever since the
(scroll down)
I can't stop!  lol

I have never been soooo out of my creative element in my life!
And it feels GREAT!   (Thanks, Real Toads!)

Dub-dub-dub-Dubstep Goat

Imaginary Garden with Real Toads Brilliance!
What FUN this challenge was!
Really took me *out* of my *element*

Dubstep is a genre of electronic music originating from South London in the late nineties. Although it is rather difficult to define, it is generally characterized by a slow tempo, repetitive low-key beats, heavy emphasis on “wobble” bass lines and hard hitting drum patterns.

Unfurl with abandon
Like a soft pink pearl
A token
Rolling 'crost the floor
Your pearl
No more
Rolling out the door

It's spoken
You're lore.

Twirl, girl.

with Much Love for a Happy Christmas Day
The Sisterhood of the Goat!

Merry, Merry!

Oh, to live in a world of Christmas revels and intrigue!

A decorated evergreen to the ceiling and beribboned trinkets hidden deep within
 the steaming plum puddings!

Wassail and merriment and mysterious paper packages and mistletoe which does not go to waste.

And a new ermine trimmed bonnet just for show!

The Yule Dog

My Heart & Soul....Yellow Dog

For the record-as if I need to say this-I love goats!
Adore enchanted by them....
See them as the Wild Spirit of the goat god Pan in my life-
but when it comes to True can't find anything purer than Dog Love.

Your Dog will love you forever and beyond.

Without question or hesitation.

And if we are wise, we will love them in return, the exact same way.

You won't find anything more honest and real in your lifetime.

You will never find its equal.

The Yule Log may represent Prosperity....
but the Yule Dog represents everything that is Unconditional Love.......

Dog Blessings, my friends.

Fox & Baby Jesus

Hey-ho my loverlies!

Having run out of photo space and therefore banished to Photobucket,
posting pics is a laborious process to say the least.  (Ok, let's call it tedious and time consuming...but nevertheless....)  Any-hoo,  today's blog will be brought to to by my SEA GYPSY I am a lazy, goat loving gypsy and haven't the ambition to reproduce the whole thing.  Enjoy!  ;)

So,  with my new found fascination for religious art, I bought a creche today!
A lovely, beautiful thing from Italy that spoke to be from a table in the thrift store.

It may not seem all that big of a deal, but if you know me you know that religious artifacts and Foxmorton
don't generally occupy the same space.  ;)
Not since the Great Trauma of '61 anyway.

But this year I have opened my eyes...and my mind......
and what lovely things I have seen.  I found that it's ok to see the art.

Have a wonderful day, everyone!
And a Blessed Yule!
love, Mimi

  • So the shortest day came, and the year died,
And everywhere down the centuries of the snow-white world
    Came people singing, dancing,
    To drive the dark away.
    They lighted candles in the winter trees;
    They hung their homes with evergreen;
They burned beseeching fires all night long
    To keep the year alive,
And when the new year’s sunshine blazed awake
    They shouted, reveling.
Through all the frosty ages you can hear them
    Echoing behind us — Listen!!
All the long echoes sing the same delight,
    This shortest day,
As promise wakens in the sleeping land:
    They carol, fest, give thanks,
    And dearly love their friends,
    And hope for peace.
And so do we, here, now,
    This year and every year.

Live by the Garb....Die by the Garb....

collar (front)

The 2013 FESTIVAL of the SEASONS garb is complete!

Here's my best attempt at display for the moment.
I promise pics after the event.

I cannot WAIT to put this on and twirl...twirl....twirl.........

I do so love garb!
And even more so...vintage lace!

I wonder what it is in my make-up that makes me feel so much more comfortable in garb than in
any other thing I might wear..........
Something to ponder.......

But in the meantime.....ONE more day to go before Festival time!

Mimi, who is a garbite!

Dance of the Sugar Plum Goat

Well, it's finally complete!
With only a few days to go to the Festival of the Season and Tree Lighting,
I am all twitter-pated with excitement at seeing Darla in her new dress!
