New Cow-ture for Spring!

You know, I'm guessing this photo doesn't need much said about it.
I was met by Lizzie yesterday....uh...at the gate.............
lol

Widdle Wamb News-
My first try at working out a pattern for a geometric tapestry crochet sheep.
Some bugs yet to work out but I think it will make a pretty blanket done in squares.

Last winter I worked out the goat pattern.
I'm really quite taken with tapestry crochet.

But somehow, I don't think any of that beats walking around, cool as a cucumber,
with a fence panel 'round your neck!
;)

Have a fun and creative day, my luvs!

Poor Lizzie! I'm sure she didn't mean to. Those gates have a way of hanging on when you try to pull your head back out.

Lizzie is obviously just trying to keep up with Darla. That is a hint, cow mom! Don't suppose you'd like to share your goat crochet pattern, would you? :)

What a riot Lizzie is! I love her! She has NO idea she's not a goat! lol

I'd LOVE to share my goat pattern....but I haven't it written down. Since I engage in Bedlam Art I mostly go off whistling my merry way until something comes out. Like with the sheep.....that's a first try and will need some tweaking.

I will say that it's all double crochet so if you print and enlarge the pic you can simply count your way across the rows changing colors where needed.
Also...I'm happy to help if you ask me. Everyone should be doing crochet tapestry! It's soooo addicting! Like painting with yarn!

Smart people can also do it in knit. But I'm not one of them. :)

If you guys try it I'd love to see what you do!

Whoops! I did that with my hay bag once and my horns got stuck!

I like Lizzie's top knot! Tee hee. My lady says those are really lovely crochet things. I want her to make one of ME.

Poor Lizzie, but it IS funny! :)
Just all double crochet huh? I think I might be able to do that! If I have success, I will let you know! Thanks!!

Sooooo, the difference between horse, goats, and cows as I see it: A horse gets its head stuck in the gate and throws itself on the ground, kicking and pulling til it seriously injures itself. The goat gets stuck and waits for someone (usually me) to come free it. The cow, apparently, just leaves with the gate!

I'm going to have to give that crochet tapestry a try. Middle son wants his bedroom done John Deer... Beautiful work!
