SUMMER'S FADE

SUMMER'S FADE
by Fox the Poetess  c. 2012

Summer's fade
Whether sowing seeds
Or reaping grain
It's still the same old story.
But Old Lugh beams his ancient man grin on the bark
For he knows that no matter the season
There is still a bloom of fancy on the vine
Waiting to be picked.

And, yes, Lugh is right! I see there are still some quite beautiful things on the vine. Still, I'm ready for Fall. :)
