Well, it's almost that time of year!
Time for the Yule Tree Lighting!
One of my favorite events that I coordinate for work.
(Oh, who am I kidding? They are ALL my favorite! I LOVE event coordinating!)

Seems funny that just a year ago I was scrambling to finish the
and prepare for Darla's Grand Presentation at the Yule event!
Time flies.
And I've made so many, many wonderful goatie friends then and since!
This year, the event will be called
FESTIVAL of the SEASON
and will will focus on as many seasonal celebrations as possible!
One aspect that I'm really looking forward to is the outdoor barnyard animal display.
I am setting up a barn-like tent, complete with empty manger and all our baby animals.
There, (our version of) the story THE NIGHT THE ANIMALS TALKED will be told by
a goat herder who was allowed to experience the telling of the coming Miracle.
In addition, we will have a Pioneer Family Christmas, a Hanukkah display with stories, gelt and beeswax candles, a make and take Yule log craft for the nipperkins, Darla's Romanian Dancing Capra tradition, historical music, Christmas jazz, a wandering puppeteer storyteller and of course....Santa!
We have invited the community to set up displays of their seasonal celebrations and welcome one and all, each display joining with the next to create a unified Spirit.
It is, after all, the season of Peace on Earth...Good will toward men.
I am no more offended by the way a person celebrates this magical season than I would be over the declaration of his favorite color or choice of socks that day.
I do not believe there is only one right way.
I do not believe that silencing our good wishes to one another is a worthy thing.
I believe, with all my heart, that acceptance of one another is the key to Peace.
Oh, and the Sugar Plum Fairy?
Well, Darla will be appearing in her capra blanket for storytelling......but she DID need something NEW now, didn't she? ;)
So, off I go to work on those wings and that sugar plum dress!
'Tis the Season!

You, Miss Mimi, are quite magical! You certainly do your part to bring peace of all creatures.
Oh how I would LOVE to attend this wonderful event! Lot and lots of pictures please!! :)
Wow! Do I wish I could be there! Can't wait to see Darla's new dress. But the thing I want to see most is how you keep Darla from eating her crown. :) Maybe if you have enough Peanuts there it will distract her. :) You be awesome! Your town is so lucky to have an event coordinator such as yourself. And aren't we lucky to know you???
