DUBSTEP GOAT

Dubstep is a genre of electronic music originating from South London in the late nineties. Although it is rather difficult to define, it is generally characterized by a slow tempo, repetitive low-key beats, heavy emphasis on “wobble” bass lines and hard hitting drum patterns.

Twirl
Girl
Unfurl with abandon
Like a soft pink pearl
Whirl
Broken
A token
Rolling 'crost the floor
Your pearl
No more
Rolling out the door

It's spoken
You're lore.

Twirl, girl.

I love that you have embraced the dubstep and the goat here: in image and in tone of your work. I am glad you found the challenge to be fun: and I am most pleased with your endeavors. This is a wonderful way to begin a new year. viva la

Cultish, reminds me of disco craze, tho maybe a bit more Dionysian! Wonder what music you play in your barn? Whatever it is, your poem rocks, and I can see the girl twirl across the floor and out the door!

Thanks all! This was SO much fun!
SO out of my element that at first I didn't think I could (would want to!) do it! But it was just so exciting to see it emerge from my head!

And thanks, REAL TOADS, for allowing me to always share with you and for giving me a WONDERFUL creative start to the New Year!

Susan- Oddly, folk, pirate sea shanties and anything pre 19th century. I'm an old soul at heart. I would die if this was the only music there was. lol :)

Happy Creative New Year, everyone!

*hugs*

Nice! Gets as close to it as anything could - and takes us with it. No small achievement that!
